Inner Peace

When people talk about Arunachala, they often talk about how it brings peace into their lives. In this respect here is a beautiful description by the famous wandering lady, Peace Pilgrim, of the signs of inner peace:

A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.

A loss of interest in judging other people.

A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.

A loss of interest in conflict.

A loss of the ability to worry.

Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

Contented feeling of connectedness with others and nature.

Frequent attacks of smiling.

An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

This is SO beautiful! I will send it to others too. How inspiring and how needed, to remember these points. It should be a posted on every wall!

It's like a checklist to assess exactly how 'together' one is getting. I think its brilliantly accurate.

If you've never read Peace Pilgrim's biography - then do - her life is a source of inspiration. An extraordinary being.
