And thank you for all the writeups & pictorials giving a "touch & feel" about Tiruvannamalai. I read your blog regularly but have only now managed an id to post comments.
Also, reading about all the construction activity & land abuse etc sometimes mentioned by you, (am probably, severely, behind the times) but has some law or something changed? I thought no construction was allowed around the Parikrama path ? How is all this construction happening ?
Thanks very much for your very nice comments Arvind.
As a consquence of your comment I have made a new posting on the Blog called 'Arunachala Status' - which I think you will find particularly interesting as it has links to the definitive and final Court judgments regarding the future development of Arunachala. Basically the Court ruling sets out that the Municipality of Tiruvannamalai is the organisation in CONTROL of development at Arunachala.
On a personal note - I would like to take a bulldozer and sweep Arunachala clean of all encroachments built in at least the last 30 years - i.e. illegal housing and small commercial shrines etc.
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to you too!
