V. Ganesan grew up till the age of fourteen in the presence of his great uncle, Sri Ramana Maharshi. After the mahanirvana of Bhagavan in 1950, Sri Ganesan went on to get a Master’s Degree in Philosophy. After his return to Arunachala, Sri Ganesan was able to absorb reminiscences of Bhagavan that had never been recorded before. In addition to this, his close contacts with saints, sages and seers like Yogi Ramsuratkumar, Nisargadatta Maharaj and J. Krishnamurti, helped him to deepen and widen his understanding of the essence of Bhagavan’s Teachings.
For thirty-five years Sri Ganesan was the manager of Ramana Ashram, Tiruvannamalai, and for twenty-five years he was the managing editor of The Mountain Path, the ashram’s Newsletter. He looked after the old devotees of Sri Ramana as his sadhana, allowing him to absorb little-known reminiscences about Sri Ramana. His sessions of spiritual sharing are given at his home in Tiruvannamalai. He has authored several books on Sri Ramana Maharshi.

vanakkam,
im very pleased with your blog which updates regularly on Arunachala and Thiruvannamalai happenings. Keep up the great work. i ve learnt a lot about the grace of Arunachala thru your blog. :)
Ganeshan is one of my favorite people on this planet, Arunachala. I remember once he told me that while doing the full moon pradakshina walk, he would try to get just behind a woman carrying a baby and walk by her. The reason being, babies have no sense of time and therefore are blissed out!!!
why doing hill round, JUST CONTROL THERE OWN MIND
Guru Ramana is omnipresent and his grace shines upon all who earnestly seek and perceive it
I bow to the supreme self Prabho Ramanaa
I think there is no living personality who had the rare privilege of growing up under the shade of Bhagavan as Sri Ganesan. Apart from being near to Bhagavan, he had the rare honour of moving closely with number of disciples of Bhagavan and learning from them. The Ramana Periya Puranam he composed on the lines of Chekkeezhar's Periyapuranam containing the life and teachings of 75 Bhagavan disciples reveals the depth of his knowledge. His humbleness and humility lies in the fact that he continues to seek Jnana from wherever it comes from. I have seen him attending to the discourses of Nochur Sri Venkataraman with attentiveness. The new generation eagerly looks forward his guidance and advice.
There were many devotees who were aspiring for just being with Bhagavan, for a word of advice from Bhagavan, for a glance from Bhagavan and for the grace that radiates from Bhagavan. Sri Ganesan has got the rare privilege of growing up under the shade of Bhagavan and being with Bhagavan for 14 years. He had the rare privilege of being loved, caressed, guided and even chided by Bhagavan. Devotees like me are blessed to have Sri Ganesan amidst us who shares his knowledge and experience. While at Kolwan, I paid my obeisance to him and I continue to look forward to receive his blessings.
The same power which makes you tell to control the mind is making them go around the hill. No worries. Pranams
